Former Rep. Jim Solis (D-Harlingen) plead guilty in federal court today to charges of extortion. The Rio Grande Guardian published a full copy of the U.S. Attorney's news release. Solis served in the Texas House 1993-2007. He served as chariman of economic development while in the House.
