This Sunday, LSR Managing Editor William Lutz appeared on WFAA's Inside Texas Politics. He had a message for Karl Rove and other former staffers of George W. Bush who want to take shots at Gov. Rick Perry: Shut Up! The program also features an interview with Richard Fisher, president of the Dallas branch of the Federal Reserve. Lutz's commentary starts about 7:40 into the program. Inside Texas Politics airs every Sunday at 9 on WFAA, Channel 8 in North Texas.

"Shut Up" is good advice to those snipers. This is no longer about strictly Texas Republican inter-party politics. Perry is a candidate for the presidency of the United States and according to polls to date, he's well accepted by the rank and file.
Editor Lutz was right to admonish the Perry-detractors who have access to national TV, Karl Rove being out front about that. If certain Republicans have had disagreement with Perry in the past, and have negative messages about Perry, they ought to be decent enough not to behave like Perry's Democrat opponents.
They, the "other" Republicans, aren't running. If they have anything to say about Perry, they should confer personally with Perry. I'm sure he would welcome whatever comments they have, without it all turning into a public dog-fight.

What part of Shutup, dont you understand Rove. Quit being a sore looser.

I get so sick of some of Rove's snide comments that I could pull a Bush senior moment and throw up all over him. Can anyone get him close?

I hope that last comment was meant figuratively. At LSR, we try to keep things professional, not personal.
