The Texas Civil Justice League Political Action Committee (TCJL PAC), a lawsuit reform group, today released a list of endorsements for the upcoming primary elections.

It's mostly Republicans, with a few Democrats mostly from the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso, all of whom have a history of supporting tort reform.

The TCJL PAC has announced support for the following candidates for statewide elected office (all Republicans):

10th Court of Appeals, Place 3 Al Scoggins (R) Eighteen counties, based in Waco
14th Court of Appeals, Place 2 Leslie Brock Yates* (R) Ten counties, based in Houston

Senate District 5 Steve Ogden* (R) Bryan

Eric Johnson is running without opposition either in the primary (other than against Terri Hodge's name on the ballot) in HD 100. Republican Lanham Lyne running in Wichita Falls (to fill the open seat left by the retiring David Farabee) is the only other non-incumbent among those endorsed in House races.
