About The Lone Star Report

The Lone Star Report is a weekly newsletter devoted exclusively to coverage of Texas politics and government. We are published in Austin by the Lone Star Foundation, a non-profit research and education foundation. We have been in print since 1996.

Each issue of LSR combines breaking news stories, exclusive investigations, original research on Texas public policy, in-depth analysis of current political developments, lively commentary from the likes of nationally syndicated columnist William Murchison, and the juiciest Capitol intelligence.

Our readership includes all of Texas' statewide elected officials, most of the Texas Legislature, state agency executives, top lobbyists and association executives, corporate government affairs representatives, leaders of both major parties, grassroots political activists, business and community leaders, and ordinary people with an interest in Capitol news beyond what their local newspapers provide.
